What an amazing display of standing SHOULDER to SHOULDER. Thank you all so much for responding to this community the way you did.

To the servants.... THANK YOU SOOO VERY MUCH!!

THE FOLLOWING IS "WHY WE DO, WHAT WE DO":

  • Total in attendance: 1,615 (another record for New Walk)
  • 1st-time Connection Cards:  189! (Some of these represent entire families so we likely had 300-400 new people on Sunday!)
  • 1st-time children:  156! That is Incredible.
  • 337 total kids just in Birth-5th grade alone!
  • Total Baptism sign-ups at this point for our April 17th BEACH BAPTISM:  103!!!

I thought the worship was amazing! Thanks to Jacob and his team.

How about Joshua Peelman and his upside-down Jesus Paintings that he did during the 5-minute Altar Call!

Thanks to Children's Team, Easter Egg hunt team, Pancake Team, all the parking people, greeters, hospitality people, ushers, media, the Development Team (working hard now), our Prayer Partners & Warriors, finance team, & who could forget the amazing setup & tear down team who rocked it out on Sunday night after a LONG day.

What a movement we are making in this community. We stepped up and invited because we understand the urgency. I am humbled and yet... freakin' excited. You know what is crazy??? The best is yet to come!

Love ya'll!

Men and women, if you would say today that your walk with God is just not where it needs to be and you don't know if people who looked at you, would define me you as someone who walks with God. I challenge you this week to take a 10min Devotional Challenge.

This week commit to take 10mins a day to do a personal or family devotional.

If you plan on taking this challenge please email "10 MINUTE DEVOTIONAL CHALLENGE" to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , and I will send out some encouragements to you, throughout the week, to help you own this challenge.

  • Over 100 people came forward to make commitments... with many of them first-time commitments!!!  This is the biggest reason we did it all. People that laid down their baggage.
  • 72 First-Time Families.. Great job to all of those who invited people!! Our church and its mission in action. Some of you had friends, neighbors and co-workers get saved.
  • Largest attended Sunday at New Walk ever! 1532 attended.
  • One (9:30am) service had 501 in it.... R U kidding me? We added seats, and God filled them. Funny how that works!
  • As I stood at the altar, I was struck... every service... by the feeling of the baggage being lifted. You could TOTALLY feel it. People were giving it up to God. In some case... with the tears, I could hear it!
  • Praise Team & Choir- You guys were totally on this week. I know it was a long day... but you all had a huge part in the day. Great work assembling it all Jacob... and Mandy with the Choir.
  • Thanks to Scott M for leading the drama. You played a big role in making a statement with your work.
  • Thanks to those who served... but especially those who served multiple services and to some who worked in every service. I can not express enough as I write this, as to how amazed I am with you all. Some people actually were at Setup, all four services and tear down. WOW!
  • Late night tear-down crew... you inspired those of us who were totally exhausted and made it happen sooo much quicker. THANKS!!
  • Thanks to Matt G for all of the planning of the sanctuary and Clint Walker for helping him make it happen.
  • Those of you who flooded setup on Saturday Night.... THANK YOU!! I was impressed with the way you all totally cranked it. You all made it happen. I saw so many smiles from people who were serving.
  • BTW.... the parking team is coming along. Thanks to John Duke.
  • Our ushers are doing great with change of the sanctuary. Thanks guys and leaders!
  • Hey how about the MEDIA team and all video work, camera work, transitions- ect. THANKS BRENT & team!!
  • Hospitality and greeters ROCKED it. Lots of smiling faces and lots of FOOD! Thanks to Shawn and her team... Thanks to the LEE'S!!
  • The children's ministry was SLAMMED. Of course.. they rose up and took care of our kids again while we worshipped together. Thank you SARAH and your amazing team of workers. You all are the unsung heros every week.
  • Thanks to Ron & Renee for keeping me rolling on Sunday!

MY PRAYER-

LORD.... THANK YOU FOR USING YOUR PEOPLE TO DO AMAZING THINGS. THANKS FOR TRUSTING NEW WALK! LET US CONTINUE TO HONOR YOU!!

Guess what.... we will do it again on Sunday!

Thanks to everyone and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

One-Degree wrapped up and it has been a great journey! Here are some thoughts from the Sunday...

- Coming into Sunday, we wondered if people would show up in a big way to make their commitment and they did. Get this... COMMITMENT SUNDAY was the largest non-holiday attendance we have ever had. Almost 760 people!

- What a great job the Worship Team & Choir did. You all made this past Sunday one of the best ever! Sunday service can be viewed here. Also, you can check out the song "One" performed by our worship team in the Worship Arts Section.

- Some of the data is still coming in but... The children made a total commitment of $1,000. They were so beautiful coming up front with their commitments.

- Our total family involvement was very HIGH. If you missed this Sunday, you can make your commitment this week but we surpassed our consulting company's estimates on total participation. In fact, WE BLEW IT UP! I KNEW WE WOULD BE ABNORMAL IN THIS AREA!!
- Thanks to all our campaign leaders! You all totally lifted me over the last 12 weeks!

- The last 24 hours of prayer were coveted and noticeable. I guess it really is true what Jesus says: "... the gates of Hell shall not prevail."

- I am exhausted and excited... all at the same time. Looking forward to UNLEASHED starting this Sunday.

- My Brother's Scars will be in this Sunday... guest-leading worship. Those guys ROCK!

- On Sunday, I'll share with you all how we did in total campaign commitments.

Love you all... Love pastoring this group of people! PG

On Sunday after church we took a walk to see a piece of land that had nothing on it. A land that was rich with promise but had nothing on it except an outline of a future building.... a building for future soul- winning. About 200 "New-Walkers" came out for the Prayer Walk to pray about the future of this land. What a moment! To pray for something that nobody can really see, yet we know is going to happen. The promise that people's lives' will change. People will come to know Christ. It will be kids, husbands, wives, grand kids and grandparents. It will be co-workers, neighbors and friends. We do not know the names but... we do know the promise. Check out some images from the day.....
